Every home has a story, and so does every business. AKB Painting was founded by Bobby Bajpai, whose journey to Canada began with a dream of building a better future. Arriving in 2018 to study hospitality, tourism, and business, Bobby quickly learned that achieving that dream would take determination. He worked nights as a hotel auditor while spending his days painting, balancing work, education, and the challenges of starting over in a new country.
During that time, he noticed something important. Homeowners and businesses across Vancouver Island were looking for reliable painters who not only delivered quality workmanship but also communicated well, showed up when promised, and genuinely cared about their customers. That realization inspired him to start AKB Painting in September 2020.
A Company That Has Grown with Its Community
What began as a one-person painting business has grown into a professionally managed company serving residential and commercial clients throughout Campbell River and surrounding Vancouver Island communities.
As demand grew, so did the business. AKB Painting expanded beyond residential painting to include commercial painting, cabinet refinishing, drywall services, and specialty finishes, while also building a dedicated team to better serve its customers. Today, every project is supported by experienced painters, office staff, and a dedicated project manager who helps ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
